Word Pica privacy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Word Pica is developed by Furkan under the shared independent developer brand filoft. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@filoftstudio.com.

Which version does this cover?

The current invited iOS TestFlight package is 0.5.8 (15). New advertising, connection and purchase-related work described below is prepared in local v0.6 source and has not been included in that TestFlight package. Word Pica is not yet publicly available from a verified store listing.

Your puzzles and progress

Words are checked against dictionaries stored on your device. Word validation does not send the word or puzzle to a server. Progress, current boards, move history, rewards, inventory, appearances, language, sound, vibration and reduced-motion preferences are saved on the device, together with local recovery copies. The prepared ad system also keeps local reward/request records to avoid granting a reward twice. There is no Word Pica account, developer-operated cloud save, or cross-device sync service.

Connection checks in the prepared version

Local v0.6 requires a verified internet connection for free puzzle play. Menus and saved progress remain available if the connection is lost. The game contacts Google's and Gstatic's HTTPS generate_204 endpoints, using a new random cache-busting value for each request. It checks again while open and after returning from the background. These requests do not include your words, board, save or a player identifier. As with normal internet requests, the receiving service can see your IP address and request metadata. Google handles that information under its privacy policy. This is separate from advertising consent and ad availability; an unavailable ad is not treated as a failed internet check. Losing the connection preserves committed moves and balances.

Advertising preparation

The local iOS integration uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), currently with Google's sample ad units. Live advertising is disabled, and this integration has not yet been tested in a physical iPhone build. It prepares ads between completed levels and optional rewarded ads for hints, undos, lives and certain appearances. When the SDK runs, Google may process network/IP-derived location, device or app identifiers, ad interaction and diagnostic/performance information for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Google explains its processing in its privacy and advertising information. No separate developer analytics service is integrated. Sample ads still involve network requests and SDK data processing. Where permitted, identifiers may include advertising identifiers and Google’s publisher first-party ID.

Privacy choices and tracking

The prepared UMP flow refreshes privacy information at launch and permits ad requests only when UMP allows them. Where required, Settings provides an advertising privacy choices entry. The source includes the iOS tracking-purpose explanation and ATT framework preparation; the account-configured UMP/ATT message and device flow still need validation. This is not a claim that the current TestFlight package already displays that prompt. If a future build asks for tracking permission, the choice is yours; iOS tracking choices can also be managed in device Settings. Advertising privacy choices do not remove the separate internet requirement.

Purchases

Remove Interstitial Ads is only a prepared product design. No working purchase, price or restore service is available in the reviewed version, and the app does not take a payment through it. The intended future scope is removal of ordinary interstitial ads plus offline puzzle access, while rewarded ads remain optional and require internet. That future service must be connected and tested before it can be offered; this page is not a purchase offer.

TestFlight

When you test through TestFlight, Apple provides the developer with beta crash/usage information, and any feedback you send may include your comments or screenshots. We use beta reports to investigate faults and improve the game. Apple's TestFlight privacy information explains that service. Apple’s beta records can include your invitation email or name, device/version information, sessions and installation details. Beta reports received by the developer are retained only as needed to investigate testing issues.

Support and your choices

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and investigate the issue. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary personal information. We retain support correspondence only while needed for the request and any necessary recordkeeping; send privacy/deletion requests to the same address.

Requests about Google's or Apple's own records should also use their privacy tools.

Local game data can be removed through device/app data controls; device backups are controlled by your platform settings. Because progress is local, we cannot remotely recover or delete a save from your phone. Deleting the app or its data may permanently remove your progress.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or object to processing of personal information; contact us to exercise applicable rights or raise a concern.

This website

This static website has no analytics or advertising scripts, accounts, forms, third-party font downloads or cookies set by the site. The hosting service and server operator can process ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested path, browser information and request time, to deliver and secure the pages. Server logging and retention depend on the hosting configuration. If you use an email link, your email provider also handles that correspondence under its own terms.

Parents and guardians

If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about data handling, contact the developer. Please do not send a child’s name, photo or other identifying information unless needed to explain the issue. The reviewed game has no player account or player age-verification system; this policy does not imply otherwise.

Updates

We will update this page when actual app behavior changes, including before introducing a connected purchase service or enabling live advertising.
